Serving Community Roles with Caribbean Souls

The Southernmost Coconut Castaways is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization based out of the fabulous Florida Keys, but has active members all over the country—you can join us no matter where you call home. As the official nationwide “friend” club of Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band, one of the hottest Trop Rock bands in the country, we are treated to members-only concerts, pre-release access to new CDs, information on scheduled appearances, and we get to pal around with the nicest bunch of guys in The Keys.

But, we are also a community service organizationServing Community Roles with Caribbean Souls—made up of members who believe strongly in giving back, supporting more than 30 organizations and events through donations of goods, services, funds and volunteer hours, including Howie’s signature charity, KOA Care Camp, sending kids with cancer to camp.

While we like to work hard, we also love to have fun! We have monthly social gatherings that we call Jump Ups where club members and their friends get together to socialize and relax. Many of our jump ups are held at our Home Bar the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon in Key West, where we enjoy our Official Rum, Papa’s Pilar.

If you want to meet new people, enjoy Trop Rock music, the laid-back island way of life and care about giving back to your community, you would be a perfect Southernmost Coconut Castaway. Get more information on our website,, or follow us on Facebook.

The Lower Keys Lifestyle

"Where the Florida Keys island chain takes a graceful westerly turn toward the sunset, the Lower Keys are home to two national wildlife refuges, a national marine sanctuary and a state park, and are surrounded by a marine environment filled with abundant terrestrial and marine wildlife."
